Crazed confusion converging into chaotic creativity, all for the purpose of encapsulating that one truth: evolution. The junction is on the horizon. Do you stay the course or take on a new journey, a new challenge?.
Evolve.
Notes
The sketch for this was conceived during the creation of "REBEL". It started as a simple idea to convey speed and motion, and was originally intended for color. However, this was scraped and I took a more minimalistic approach, carefully balancing only 3 colors, (black, white and yellow). Possibly one of my better mech designs thus far. Here are some points of interest:
-The cog is indicative to invention and, in some instances, thought. It's a motif of technological evolution in contrast to the very high-tech subject.
-Though I never decided to give the 'bot a name, I code named him "ACID" during the creation process. The name stuck and is thus used in the title, which has no other meaning implied. However, feel free to come to your own conclusions.
-"Acid's" overall body structure design was inspired by track runners. His feet, though resemblant of sneakers, were actually inspired by Kawasaki Motorcycles.
-This image is 100% NOT vectored; all Photoshop7. Every piece in this image was created from scratch.
-The logo in the bottom right is my own logo called "Skull Soldier". I will release a larger version in the near future (possibly revised since the one here is kinda old).
Great job on the colours... But what I like the most are the details. It looks really complicated and sophisticated even though you only used flat colours. Great job, man!
Welcome back, mate. Seriously awesome to see you submitting again.
My initial thought is: this is the sort of thing that you want a poster of on your wall (a BIG poster, so you can catch all the details). I'm personally not really into robots, but this is so fascinating because it's not just details for the sake of details, in that they have meaning. The clean lines work well with the tricromatic (wordsmithing) color scheme and within said scheme there is a surprising amount of variance.
This is a very deep image, and I think it'd be sinful not to give it a

As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.
